The debate was organised by Kelab Bahas Dan Pidato as it was the first KPTM KL inter-program debate competition held in this college. The objective of the debate competition was to look for potential
debaters to represent KPTM KL for debate competition in the nearest
future, while sharpening the critical thinking and creating a healthy
educative competition among the participants.

It wa held at Dewan Bunga Raya and Dewan Bunga Mawar if KPTM HQ on 3 and 4 September, where 8 teams representing their respective faculties debated among themselves. The teams that took part were from APROs of Insitute of Professional Studies, The ARGENTI of Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Computer Science Club of Faculty of Computer and Technological Sciences, Educators Club of Faculty of English Studies and HELP of Faculty of Accounting and Business Management.
The final round witnessed teams from Institute of Professional Studies competing against the team from Faculty of English Studies with the motion "Men are Superior than Women'. Despite having a very cliche motion, both teams displayed some difficulties in delivering and defending their stances until near the end of the debate, where the opposition team deliberately rebut the points delivered by the proposition.
It was clear, according to the head judge Hamazzatullah Hamazimin, who the winner was. The opposition team from APROs won the competition by a margin of 5.6 points, thus making the Educators team the runner up, while the Mixed #2 team came in third.
Prize giving ceremony was done in simplicity. Teams and guests were invited to lunch after photography session.
